Slowing fundamental biological processes of aging (e.g., inflammation, mitochondrial dysfunction) is a strategic approach to delay the onset of all major chronic diseases by a mean of 7 years, thereby increasing healthspan.

While specific 'anti-aging' drugs are not yet standard, the goal is to slow biological aging. Current best practice is to combine regular physical activity and healthy diet to target these fundamental processes.
