The life-prolonging effect of antioxidants may be limited to a more or less narrow 'therapeutic window'... Not always, the experimental conditions may hit the therapeutic window... Surprisingly, antioxidant supplementation significantly shortened lifespan in voles maintained under both cold and warm conditions.
