Young men are the only demographic group capable of retaining a significant portion of muscle volume gains after 31 weeks of detraining.

If you are an older adult or a woman, be aware that you may lose most of your muscle gains after 31 weeks of stopping training. Young men might retain some, but consistent training is necessary for everyone to maintain muscle mass.
