Women benefit more than men from combined resistance exercise and protein supplementation in terms of relative leg strength improvements (leg press and leg extension), despite men showing greater absolute lean body mass gains.

Women in this study saw greater relative improvements in leg strength from the program than men, even though men gained more absolute muscle mass. Focus on your own progress and functional strength rather than comparing absolute mass to men.
