Adherence
College-educated adult survivors of childhood ALL who adhered to the remote weight loss intervention experienced significant weight loss, whereas those with only high school education gained weight.
College-educated survivors may benefit from this remote program, but those with less education may need more simplified, hands-on support to achieve similar results.
ModerateQualifiesLOW confidence
The difference in the mean weight change between participants in the intervention versus control group who had completed college, or a higher degree was −2.2 kg at 24-months... In contrast, the mean change in weight between groups among participants who had completed high school alone was +8.1 kg
Why this rating
Small sample sizes in the high school subgroup (13 intervention, 22 control) limit statistical power and generalizability.

- A remote, call-center-directed weight loss intervention combining diet and exercise counseling does not result in significant weight loss or improved cardiovascular risk factors in adult survivors of childhood acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) compared to self-directed weight loss.Good
- Among adherent participants (completing ≥80% of coaching calls), the same remote weight loss intervention resulted in significant weight loss compared to non-adherent participants.Good
