Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, including semaglutide and tirzepatide, have demonstrated weight loss efficacy of 15–20 percent in large, randomised trials [27,28]. These agents improve glycaemic control, reduce visceral fat, and favourably modify inflammatory markers. Although long-term data on cancer incidence are not yet available, biological rationale is compelling, based on metabolic, inflammatory and hormonal pathways.
