Energy balance
Regular moderate-intensity aerobic exercise (≥150 min/week) reduces cardiovascular risk in diabetic patients by increasing glucose uptake, lowering blood pressure, and improving lipid profiles.
Aim for 150 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise (like brisk walking) spread over at least 3 days a week. Do not go more than 2 days in a row without moving. If you take insulin, check your blood sugar before and after to prevent lows.
Why this rating
Based on consensus guidelines referencing multiple studies (AHA, Look AHEAD, PREDIMED), though not a single RCT itself.
