Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) treatment improves glucose metabolism in non-diabetic and non-obese OSA patients, but has limited effect on glucose metabolism in obese OSA patients.

For non-obese OSA patients, CPAP can significantly improve insulin sensitivity. For obese patients, CPAP is essential for cardiovascular health but unlikely to resolve insulin resistance; prioritize weight loss for metabolic improvement.
