Obesity prevalence is projected to grow by 40% in the next decade.

Health professionals should prepare for increased obesity-related health issues.

Longitudinal studies of LIRE-BFR showed no changes in arterial stiffness in both young and older people.

Practitioners should note that LIRE-BFR may not affect arterial stiffness over the long term in their clients.

Nutrition is relevant along the criminal justice continuum.

Nutrition should be integrated into discussions and interventions within the criminal justice system.

The quality improvement case study provides important lessons for transforming patient-physician-practice support systems.

Health systems can learn from this case study to improve patient engagement and care.

Improving health and care as described by the Quadruple Aim requires innovation at the front lines of clinical care.

Practitioners should seek innovative approaches to enhance patient care.

Obesity prevalence is projected to grow by 40% in the next decade.

Health professionals should prepare for increased obesity-related health issues.

Innovative therapeutics focused on hunger control are being considered for patients with rare genetic obesities.

Clinicians may consider new pharmacological options for managing hunger in patients with rare genetic obesities.

New pharmacological molecules are likely to be treatment options for patients with rare genetic obesities in the coming years.

Practitioners should stay informed about emerging pharmacological treatments for obesity.

The positioning of new therapeutics in the management of rare genetic obesities needs to be well defined.

Clinicians should consider how to integrate new therapeutics into treatment plans for obesity.

Ultrasound technology cannot reliably estimate muscle glycogen concentrations in well-trained individuals.

Practitioners should not rely on ultrasound technology for assessing muscle glycogen levels.

There is no significant correlation between ultrasound scores and biopsy glycogen concentrations.

Ultrasound should not be used as a reliable method for measuring glycogen concentrations.

Ultrasound technology fails to detect changes in muscle glycogen levels under various conditions.

Practitioners should be cautious in using ultrasound for monitoring glycogen changes.

Higher BMI was associated with a different airway shape, including larger minimum anteroposterior distance and smaller minimum lateral distance.

Understanding the changes in airway shape with BMI can help tailor OSA treatment strategies.

Meta-analysis is commonly used in sport and exercise science to synthesize empirical studies.

Practitioners should consider using meta-analysis to inform their understanding of empirical studies.

Phosphocreatine (PCr) resynthesis is not associated with greater physical fitness (VO2 peak) or mRNA levels of mitochondrial function markers.

Improving physical fitness may not directly influence muscle recovery rates as measured by PCr resynthesis.

No significant difference in fatigue index for knee extensors and flexors was observed between acai supplementation and placebo.

Acai supplementation does not appear to affect fatigue levels in knee extensors and flexors post-exercise.

Polymeric biomaterials have gained tremendous interest for their potential in the prevention and treatment of obesity.

Practitioners should consider polymeric biomaterials as a promising avenue for obesity treatment.

Existing pharmaceuticals and bariatric surgeries have limited efficacy and side effects.

Awareness of the limitations of current treatments can guide practitioners in exploring new options.

Loss-of-function mutations in the genes encoding POMC, MC3R, and MC4R can lead to early-onset obesity and developmental dysregulation.

Understanding these mutations can inform treatment strategies for obesity.

Recent studies have identified new genetic regulatory mechanisms and potential biomarker regions for the POMC gene and MC4R secondary messenger pathway associated with obesity.

These findings may lead to new diagnostic tools for obesity.

1,260,969 (8.5%) Black people and 4,989,919 (4.7%) non-Black people had ≥CKD stage 3 according to the 2021 CKD-EPI formula.

Practitioners should consider the impact of the new eGFR formula on the classification of CKD in patients when prescribing antiobesity medications.

Obesity affects around 40% of adults in the United States.

Health practitioners should be aware of the high prevalence of obesity in the adult population.

Obesity accounts for $172.74 billion in annual expenditures in the United States.

Understanding the economic burden of obesity can inform healthcare policy and resource allocation.

Obesity alone did not emerge as a robust predictor of major adverse cardiovascular events (MACEs).

Obesity should not be solely relied upon as a risk factor in cardiovascular assessments.
