Myozenin-1 protein levels were up-regulated in the low anabolic responders (LO) after 12 weeks of RET.

This suggests that myozenin-1 could be a potential biomarker for assessing anabolic responses to resistance training.

StrongSupportsmedium confidence
POST myofibrillar myozenin-1 protein levels were up-regulated in the LO cluster (LO PRE = 0.96±0.13relative expression units, LO POST = 1.25±0.16; within-group LO increase p=0.025,Cohen's d = 0.691).

Why this rating

The statistical significance of the change in myozenin-1 levels supports the finding.
